On behalf of the Association for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of Southeast European Countries (AMAPSEEC), it is my sincere pleasure to invite you to the participate at the 13th Conference on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of Southeast European Countries (CMAPSEEC), to be held from May 27 to 29, 2026, in Belgrade, Serbia.
Since its establishment, AMAPSEEC has aimed to foster regional and international cooperation, support scientific research and knowledge exchange, and promote the sustainable use of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) in Southeast Europe. The CMAPSEEC conferences, held biennially in different countries of the region, reflect this mission by bringing together a diverse community of researchers, professionals, policymakers, and industry representatives.
This upcoming 13th edition of the Conference will be an excellent opportunity to strengthen scientific collaboration, present new research findings, and discuss common challenges in the cultivation, processing, quality control, regulation, and commercialization of MAPs. It will also serve as a valuable platform to support young scientists and encourage interdisciplinary dialogue in the context of biodiversity conservation, traditional knowledge, and innovation.
We are especially proud to return to Belgrade, where the roots of our Association were first established, and where the Institute “Dr. Josif Pančić” continues to play a leading role in MAPs research and development.

Organized by the Institute for Medicinal Plant Research “Dr. Josif Pančić” and the Association for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of Southeast European Countries (AMAPSEEC), the conference continues the tradition of bringing together scientists, experts, industry representatives, and stakeholders from the region and beyond, to share the latest achievements, challenges, and innovations in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants.
This biennial event serves as an important platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge and practical experience in areas such as cultivation, processing, phytochemistry, pharmacology, ethnobotany, conservation, and sustainable use of medicinal and aromatic plants. In addition to the scientific sessions, the conference will offer workshops, poster presentations, a professional exhibition, and technical excursions that will highlight Serbia’s long-standing expertise in this domain.
